Carrie Bultman

Carrie Bultman  I have been with NPI about 7 ½ years. I started out in Menomonie as a PCW. I was then promoted to manager after about a year. I have managed Program 4 for over 6 years, have been manager of Program 10 for almost 2 years, and have recently taken on management of Program 2 this past October. I grew up in Lake Nebagamon, WI. I lived in Minneapolis, MN and Cleveland, OH before moving back to Wisconsin in 1986. I have worked in the Healthcare field for 32 years. I began in 1978 as a CNA in Duluth, MN. I went to nursing school and worked as a Medical Assistant. I also have worked for Human Resource Center in Superior, WI for many years as well as working with mentally ill clients. I moved to the Chippewa area in 1995. I married my husband, Mark, in 1996. I have two daughters and a grandson. My oldest daughter works at the capital in St. Paul, MN as an assistant to a Senator and my youngest works at NPI. I also have a wonderful son-in-law. I have three Pomeranians that are my “kids” now that my children are all grown. It is important to me to feel as if I have made a difference to someone each day. Some days that is our consumers and other days it may be a staff member, a guardian, or any of the many people we encounter each day.

Sarah Hamman

Sarah Cheever

Hello! I’m Sarah and I have been with NPI since March 2013 where I started out as a Program Manager. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from UW-Superior in 2006. I have worked in this field since I was 19 years old and love making a difference in peoples lives every day! I have experience with hospice, elderly and people with physical disabilities. I am proud to say that I work for NPI because staff give the consumers choices. All my staff have such huge hearts for the consumers. It always amazes me to see them in action! I like keeping busy with our consumers by going community outings and doing crafts. One craft we did was to create wallets with duct tape and also duct tape pens!

I am blessed with two boys that are my world!!! Tony is 7 years old and Gavin is 5 years old. They are my pride and joy! We like building forts, playing with legos and getting dirty in the dirt!! I like to spend a lot of time with my family doing fun things like going to Chuck-E-Cheese in the Twin Cities and to the Dells for weekend trips! My favorite thing to do is go to the cabin each summer with my extended family each June!

Adele Thermes

Thermes, Adele

My name is Adele and I have been with NPI for 7 years. I was promoted to Manager in October of 2015 for program 15. There is a story behind how I come to do this kind of amazing work. I drove cab part time before getting hired here. Every day at 2:45 pm I picked up at REACH INC. a group of down syndrome guys and took them home. They were the most fun, and my most looked forward to fare each and every day. I decided at that time to look into care giving. And here I am in the most satisfying job I have ever had.

I am married to Randy, and we have 3 daughters, one of which works for NPI, an 18 year old and a 14 year old…I repeat all girls.. I also have 3 stepchildren (Randy’s) that are all grown, 4 step-grand babies, one more on the way, and one grand-baby on the way.

I love to see the consumers complete a task, and the joy in their eyes. I enjoy being able to help them get to the spot where they can complete that task. I also love to make a difference for those who are unable to do for themselves. Smiles are the best reward.

I hope to always make a difference!
